In the picture above is Lady Butterfly. She is one of the characters in my picture book, Sleepless Maple.
She is compassionate and full of positivity. Her colorful wings are one of the reasons why I chose her to be part of my story. I wanted a character that is eye-catching to my readers.
Illustrating Lady Butterfly is challenging for someone like me, who don’t have any background in digital art. Her wings’s intricate design was complicated. I tried my best to make sure that her wing’s design were identical at all times.
Butterflies are known to be one of the beautiful pollinators in our garden. They bring smile and hope.
Lady Butterfly will surprise you in the story. She certainly helped Maple have a good night’s sleep.
