REMEMBERING FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE

Nurses are often seen with stethoscopes draped around their necks, pockets filled with medications, snacks, thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, wipes, dressings, even bedpans—and at times, bearing the weight of their patients with quiet strength. Yet above all, may we be remembered as those who carry the lamp.

To every nurse: may we continue to replenish the oil of our dedication, our selfless service, and our enduring compassion—the very essence of the lamp once held by Florence Nightingale, the revered founder of modern nursing, as she walked the wards during the Crimean War.

Let us keep the flame alive—not only for those we serve, but also for ourselves.

Thank you for sharing your light with the world.

Warmest wishes on this International Nurses Day!
