~GIGANTIC~ For millions of years, You stood tall and outgrew them all. You outlasted the prehistoric dinosaurs, Lived before humans, birds, and flowers. An ecosystem of your own. To the flora and fauna, You're a home. Absorbed carbon dioxide 30% more than the other trees. You make clouds and rain by condensing the thin air's moisture. You help us survive, While we threaten your life With our devouring ember and architectural knife. Hold on tight to the mountain's rocks. To the other trees, your roots interlocked. We will entwine our thoughts and efforts to do good. We will help preserve your declining number The best we could. Gigantic Sequoia tree, Your significance is more than your beauty. ~ Roselle~
Last year, my family and I visited the Sequoia National Park. The Sequoia trees sone of the species of the Redwood tree. Unfortunately, there’s only five percent of the original old-growth coast red wood forest on the Pacific Coast are left according to the Sempervirens.org.
