Did you know that Javan Rhinos are the largest animal on the island of Java? Yes! It is also the second largest animal in Indonesia.
There are only 75 individuals left in its s[ecies and conservation efforts are being madden the Jung Kulon National Park, Indonesia. It is also the only place where you can find the Javan Rhinos.
Javan Rhinos are also called Lesser One-horned because of their short horns. You can only see horns on the bulls of this species.
The Javan Rhinos don’t use their horn for fighting. They use it to scrape mud and wallow, clear their path, and pull down the plants they wish to eat.
The poem above was inspired by the Javan Rhinos and I used some poetry prompts of few writers I followed in INSTAGRAM.
I hope you enjoyed reading my poem and the short story about the Javan Rhinos.
