Did you know that Violet or Viola odorants is one of February’s birth flowers? Yes! Violet is a symbol of modesty, faithfulness, everlasting love, innocence, remembrance, and humility.

My poem was inspired by the Greek mythology of how violets were created. Artemis, the goddess of vegetation, hunting, wild animals and chastity, turned the nymph who pledged to stay maiden, into a flower. This is to protect her from her twin brother Apollo. Apollo, is the god of sun and light, plague, healing, truth, archery, prophecy, and arts, including music and poetry.

I hope you liked the poem.
