The Black-Footed Ferret is one of the endangered species in the US. This species is also known as American polecat because it can can only be found in North America. They are 14 to 24-inch-long furry creatures that can eat as many as 100 prairie dogs annually.

The prairie dogs were considered pests in agricultural lands because they are herbivores and they love to eat the farmer’s crops. The extermination of the prairie dogs caused tragic decline of the black-footed ferret population.
