The picture book I read on my YouTube channel today is NIA’S NAME. The story was written by Brenda Ewers and illustrated by Michael Derby.
The story is about a girl who is sad because her classmates were making fun of her name. Her mother told her the story behind her name and that made her happy.
I believe that it’s important for a child to learn or know the meaning or the story behind their name. It will give them more confidence. It will help them appreciate their significance in this world. Most of us live up to our name. We carry it our from birth until death.
